services & fees

I offer in-person therapy with Covid mindful practices in Berkeley, and telehealth therapy services for California residents via secure video-conferencing. I am currently welcoming clients who are seeking weekly therapy sessions, and I do not accept insurance at this time. However, I can provide clients with a receipt (called a superbill) that you can submit to your insurance company for partial or full reimbursement, if your insurance accepts your working with “out of network” therapists. I request payment at the time of service and am unfortunately unable to provide payment plans at this time.

  • Initial consultation (15-20 minutes) - free

  • Individual therapy sessions (50 minutes) - $190

  • EMDR therapy sessions (50-60 minutes) - $190 and prorated at this hourly rate for longer EMDR sessions

  • Please note, as of March 2024, my sliding scale spots are full until further notice. I will update this page as these slots become available. Sliding scale individual therapy sessions are available to those with financial need- please let me know you are interested in one of these slots if so when you reach out! Scale based off of Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s model of the sliding scale as a tool for economic justice, and this visual is a helpful representation to consider where you may find yourself on my sliding scale.

As a white therapist committed to anti-racist practices and the redistribution of resources in my life and my work, a portion of my earnings is given monthly to Sogorea Te Land Trust.

No SuRprises Act / Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.

  • You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate , visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises.
